Note: If added fluid is significantly above or below the temperature of steady state fluid already in use
in the ThermaBasin, it may take a short period of time for the system to correctly measure and display

8. MAINTENANCE
8.1
Care of IntraTemp Solution Warmer after Each Use:
The IntraTemp Solution Warmer is designed to require minimal maintenance. Clean and dry the ThermaBasin
receptacle after each use. Do not use abrasive cleaners or cloths. It is particularly important to avoid
scratching the ThermaBasin receptacle and that it be clean and dry between uses.
8.2
Bi-Weekly Maintenance of IntraTemp Solution Warmer:
The IntraTemp basin receptacle should be scrubbed with a non-abrasive cleanser every two weeks. This
prevents the build-up of corrosion or staining in the basin receptacle which may be caused by normal
condensation during use.
The power cord should be inspected for any unusual sign of wear or abuse. If abuse or wear are noted,
please contact Ecolab/Microtek Customer Service to have the power cord replaced.
8.3
Fuse Replacement Instructions:
Unplug the power cord from the power receptacle. The following steps are required to replace the main
power fuse:
-
Use a #1 Phillips Head Screw Driver to remove the two screws securing the power cord retention bracket
to the IntraTemp ITW6L, and set aside.
-
Unplug the power cord from the power inlet module.
-
Use a small flathead screw driver to depress the latch on the fuse drawer as shown in Figure 8.
-
Remove the rear fuse from the clip shown in Figure 9.
-
Replace the fuse with the spare fuse located at the front of the fuse drawer. REPLACE FUSE AS
MARKED.
-
Close fuse drawer and ensure the drawer is securely latched.
-
Plug the power cord into the power inlet module.
Indicator light and digital fluid temperature display do not illuminate when power is
on.
Check ThermaBasin is properly seated. Check power cord. Check fuse.
Fluid is not being heated.
Ensure that an Ecolab ThermaBasin is being used. Check that basin is properly
seated over the Safety Switch. Both the green Power On indicator light and the digital
fluid temperature display beside the basin should be illuminated.
Fluid does not reach set temperature or has unusual fluctuation reading.
Check that basin is properly seated and the basin bottom is in direct contact with heating
plate. Make sure that drape material is not between bottom of basin and heating plate.
