Assembly / disassembly of the spiked bumper kit
(see fig. 1)
• Put the tool on flat ground.

Assembly / disassembly of the cutting unit,
tensioning of the saw chain (see fig. 2-4)
When used for extended periods of time,
guide bar 1 and saw chain 2 can become
very hot, therefore, you must wear pro-

remove guide bar cover 31 (see fig. 2.1-2.2).
• Install guide bar 1 (see fig. 3) and move it into
the direction of drive gear 32 (this will facilitate the
installation of saw chain 2)
• Wrap saw chain 2 around drive gear 32, then, place
the drive teeth of saw chain 2 into the slot of the guide

by hand
• Adjust the tension of saw chain 2 Holding the
front of guide bar 1 (see fig. 4.1), rotate chain tension
screw 33 with a screwdriver (see fig. 4.2). To increase
the tension of saw chain 2, turn chain tension screw 33
to the right, turn it left to reduce the tension
• Pull saw chain 2 until it abuts closely to the bottom
of guide bar 1
• Continue to hold the front of guide bar 1 while
tightening nuts 29 with multi-purpose wrench 25
• When disassembling the cutting unit, repeat the
above operations in reverse order
