Antes de montar o bujão central da bomba injetora, verificar as condições de uso da arruela de
vedação.
• Antes de poner el tapón de la bomba inyectora, verificar las condiciones de utilización del anillo
de vedación.

Check the seal washer for usage conditions prior the plug assembling.

Timing check:
1. Put 1st cylinder (flywheel side) at TDC position, in
the compression stroke.
2.. Remove the plug from the fuel injection pump rear
side and install a dial indicator gauge with the MWM
special tool no. 9.407.0.690.032.6.
3. Set the dial indicator gauge to zero.
4. Turn the crankshaft pulley counter clockwise (as seen
from the pulley side) until the dial indicator gauge stops
its displacement. Set the gauge to zero.
5. Turn the crankshaft pulley clockwise (as seen from
the pulley side) until the TDC mark gets the indicator.
6. Get the dial indicator gauge reading, which should
coincide with the value as stamped in the engine
identificaion plate. Should the readings show any
difference, proceed with the fuel pump timing as
described before.
Remover o relógio comparador e a ferramenta especial
da bomba injetora. Recolocar o bujão central e apertar
com um torque de 20 N.m.
Quitar el reloj comparador y la herramienta especial de
la bomba inyectora. Reponer el tapón y apretarlo con
una torsión de 20 N.m.
Remove the dial indicator gauge and the special tool
from the fuel injection pump. Reinstall the plug and tighten
it with a 20 N.m torque.
