Connection for external monitor

Connect the monitor/VGA connecting cable (special
accessories) to the terminal strip of the KTS 650 at
the appropriate plug socket (Fig. 2, Item 10). Connect
the other end of the connecting cable to the monitor.
After connecting the external monitor, the same user
interface appears as on the LCD display of the KTS 650.
Both displays are active.

The monitor must be plugged in before switching on
the KTS 650.

Printing

You can connect a printer (e.g. PDR 370) via the USB
interface of the KTS 650.

Select the default printer
Change the default printer PDR 370 using the
Diagnostics Software Selection
"
"System Control". Under Configuration, select the
menu "Settings » Printer". Select the desired printer
driver and apply with V.

Printing (control unit diagnostics)
Click twice with the stylus on the key psc (print screen)
on the virtual keyboard. The print menu in the control
unit diagnostics program opens up.

Ensure that before clicking on the psc key the focus
lies on the application window of the control unit
diagnostics.

In general, two types of print are possible:

Hardcopy and
$
Working protocol (containing the workshop
address and all the previously saved
measurements).
Furthermore, there is the option of previewing a page
(on screen display of the working protocol).
All the displayed images can be printed out by selecting
"Hardcopy".

If error memory statements, actual values etc. are to
be printed out later in the working protocol, these
values must be saved in the displayed window with
the softkey S.

Software Installation

The software installation occurs using the external DVD
drive (special accessories). Please follow the enclosed
instructions.
4.6.1

Connect the DVD drive

Do not use the DVD drive in a dusty environment.

The DVD drive does not have an ON / OFF switch.
The power supply occurs using the Y-cable to the
connected power pack.
Switch off the KTS 650!

2. Connect the power pack to the KTS 650 and the DVD
drive with the enclosed Y-connecting piece. The
plug socket is located on the terminal strip on the
KTS 650 (Fig. 2, Item 11).
The plug socket on the DVD drive is located on the
back of the device. Do not connect the power pack
to the mains yet!
3. Connect the KTS 650 to the DVD drive. Use the USB
connecting cable enclosed with the DVD drive.

5. Connect the power pack to the mains.
6. Switch on the KTS 650.
