4.1 Controls
Before operating the machine ensure that you have
well understood the position and function of all the
controls (Fig. 4.1-3).
SMART SPEED operation:
Maximum speed for a given stall torque.
A.
The operator has the fi rst left pedal in rest position (1).
By pressing down the pedal in position (2), the wheel
support starts rotating clockwise.
By pressing the pedal fully down into position (3) the
SmartSpeed function will be activated and the wheel
support will rotate at the maximum speed (approx. at
20 rpm).
By lifting the pedal in position (4, Fig. 4.1-1) the wheel
support will start to rotate counterclockwise.
B.
Locking:
Keep the central pedal pressed down until the slot on
the locking tool is positioned with the red colour near
the fi xed pin (5 Fig. 4.1-2), then release pedal.
Releasing:
Keep the central pedal pressed down until the
tool releases the rim (the slot on the locking tool is
positioned with the green colour near the fi xed pin (5
Fig. 4.1-2), then release pedal.

• Insert the foot under the pedal and pull up; the lifter
will move up. Once the desired height is reached,
release the pedal to stop the lifter.
• Press the pedal down to make the lifter move down.
• Release the pedal to stop the lifter. To move the
lifter down completely, keep the pedal pressed until
the lifter reaches the ground. IT is forbidden to use
the lifter for purposes other than loading/unloading
wheels (or rims) from the Turntable. The lifter has
a maximum capacity of 70Kg/154lb.
D.
Open the bead breaker arm. Hold the handle and keep
pressed the button above the handle (6, Fig. 4.1-3)
to operate the bead breaker arm that will move towards
the machine. Release the button: the bead breaker arm
moves back to its original position.
DO NOT MOUNT AND DEMOUNT THE TYRE WITH
THE LIFTER UP.
CAUTION: THE OPERATIONS COULD BE DANGEROUS.
FOLLOW THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS INDICATED ON
THE APPLIED PLATES.
