Installation Instructions
i. Installation requirements
THE INSTALLATION SHALL BE CARRIED OUT
ONLY BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL AND WITHIN
THE SCOPE OF THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED
IN THIS MANUAL.
Install the machine in a covered and dry area.
The installation of the machine requires a free space
of at least 270x270 cm (Fig. i-1).
Make sure that from the operating position the user
can see the entire machine and the surrounding area.
The operator shall forbid, in such an area, the presence
of non authorised persons and of objects which may
create possible hazards.
The machine shall be installed on a horizontal fl oor
preferably even. Do not install the machine on a sinking
or irregular fl oor.
If the machine is installed on a platform or raised fl oor,
the surface must have a load-bearing capacity of at
least 5000 N/sq. m (500 kg/sq. m or 110 lbs
The machine must be secured to the fl oor using the
holes made in the base.
Use 12x120 mm screw anchors. Drill 12mm holes in
the fl oor specifi c areas using a suitable drill.
Place the blocks into the holes drilled in the fl oor and
move the machine so that the holes of the cabinet are
fl ush with the holes in the fl oor.
Tighten the screws to 70 Nm with a torque wrench.
MH base assembly and adjustment
If tyre changer features a side MH, it also features an
additional base located under the same bead presser.
As soon as installation is completed, said base must
be adjusted in order to guarantee a fi nal and correct
laying of the unit on the fl oor.
Assembly
a) Assemble the bolt (3, Fig.i-2) with the nut and the
base (4) by screwing it fully home by hand.
b) Fit the base+bolt assembly (3+4) by tightening it
fi rmly to the structure.
Adjustment
c) By keeping the bolt (3) fi xed in place, undo the base
(4) until it touches the fl oor and lock it in position
with the lock nut.
d) Tighten the screws with the lock nut (5) in a stable
way.
