Common Rail injector puller.
Precautions:
- When carrying out any work on an engine using a
protective equipment stipulated in the current regulations, and engine manu-
facturer's procedures. In particular, gloves and eye protection must be worn.
-Warning: the top part of many injectors needs to be removed before they can
be extracted. In this event, the injectors will need to be changed, or sent to a
manufacturer-approved renovation centre.
- Seized injectors that require a puller for their removal may suffer irreparable
damage.
- Refer to the vehicle manufacturer's procedures before using the
injector puller.

Using the tool:

Preliminary operations.
All operations must be carried out with the engine stopped and the ignition
switched off.
Clean the injector to be removed, as well as the surrounding area of the engine
to avoid impurities entering the cylinder.
Disconnect the injector electrical control.
Disconnect the injector return hose and plug it to prevent impurities entering
the system.
Disconnect the injector high pressure supply hose and block it to prevent
impurities entering the system.
Remove the injector mounting fl ange.

- Remove the injector head using socket No.2 or
No. 3.

Refi tting.
- Injectors must always be refi tted in accordance with

- The manufacturers recommend renewing the high pressure fuel supply lines
each time the injectors are removed. Tighten to the recommended torques.
- Some injectors require reactivation or reconfi guration using a diagnostic tool
when they have been disconnected. It certain cases, failure to perform this
operation risks damaging the engine.
