Maintenance, Repair and Storing
WARNING
Use only identical STIHL replacement
parts for maintenance and repair. Use of

Always first release pressure in the
pump and the pressure chamber prior to
cleaning or servicing the sprayer.
Do not attempt any maintenance or
repair work not described in your
instruction manual. Have such work
performed by your STIHL servicing
dealer only.

Assembling the Unit

The small hardware required for
assembly is shipped in the solution
container's strainer.
Hose

Lay the unit on its backplate.

Push the union nut (2) over the

hose (1).
Push the hose (1) onto the
N
connector (3).
Tighten down the union nut (2)

firmly.

Push the union nut (2) over the
N
hose (1).
Push the hose (1) onto the
N
connector on the gun (4).
Tighten down the union nut (2)

firmly.

Screw the spray wand (5) onto the
N
gun (4).
Pump lever
The pump lever may be mounted on the
left or right of the sprayer:
SG 51, SG 71
