Refill the membrane with electrolyte. Follow the indications described in Start up. In
•
some cases can be required to substitute the membrane.
Note: Do not remove the brown layer from the reference electrode.
Recommendations:
Change the electrolyte every 3 months
A failure in the sensor functioning can provoke dangerous overdosing of disinfectant. We
recommend preventive measurements. For example, check for possible chlorine smell or
strange coloring of the water (in case of important chlorine overdosing the DPD-1
measurement can be not valid due to bleaching of the colorant.) It is recommended to
install a redox measuring system as a security measure.
Sensor storage
The electrode should be stored empty, clean and dry. Follow the instructions:
1. Remove the silicone O-ring
2. Unscrew the membrane
3. Wash the electrode and the membrane with water
4. Carefully dry them.
5. Slightly screw the membrane over the electrode without tightening.
Note: Before installing the probe again, the working electrode should be cleaned (sensor tip) with
abrasive paper, see "Sensor Maintenance".
Alarm relay
When the flow interrupts, the sensor reading drops sharply. MultiMeter 44 has a
programmable alarm relay suitable for avoiding excessive chlorine during the flow
interruption.
Once the problem provoking the alarm is solved, press for more than 2 seconds the LEFT
key. In this way the regulation will start again.
1. From the main menu select
2. Select the channel to program and confirm.
3. Select
and confirm.
ALARM
4. Enter the relay activation values using the keypad.
Example: V.max: 1.2 ppm; V. min: 0.8 ppm; T.previous: 10 min
When de reading is higher than 1.2 ppm or lower than 0.8 ppm during more than 10
minutes, it will activate the alarm relay.
5. Press
to accept the sensor alarm values.
CONTINUE
Regulation delay
It is recommended to program a value of 10 min as a regulation delay, see
Configuration modification, page
meanwhile the sensor is not 100% operating.
During the delay time the limit relays are open and the alarm disconnected.
