INSERTING SmartMedia/TURNING
ON THE POWER
Insert SmartMedia card all the way in the direction shown.
Use only 3.3V cards. 5V cards cannot be used.
See page 180 for using the Reset button.
Caution:
NEVER open the Card compartment cover, eject the
card, remove the batteries, or disconnect the AC
adapter while the camera is in operation. It may
destroy the data in the card.
The card is a precision instrument. Handle it carefully
and do not subject it to physical shocks.
Do not touch the contact area of the card.
Turn on the Record mode
Set the Record/Play switch to Record, then press the power
button. The camera performs a Card check.
Note:
If there is a problem in the card, the Card error
mark/Error code on the control panel and the Green
lamp blink. Pictures cannot be taken when this
happens. (See page 70 for Card error codes. See
page 138 for performing a Card format.)
Some functions of Olympus SmartMedia cannot be
used with this model.
