Connecting to the Power Source
CaUTiOn: Make sure the sockets on one end of the tube are wired for hot or live current (L) and the sockets on the other end of the tube
are wired for neutral (N). If installing mulitple LED tubes in the fixture, the sockets at each end of the tubes should all match live current (L)
or match neutral (N).
□ Insert the hot/live (black) wire from the electrical box and the remaining open end of the hot/live (black) solid copper jumper wire
(AA) from the wired sockets (C) into a wire connector (EE).
□ Insert the neutral (white) wire from the electrical box and the remaining open end of the neutral (white) solid copper jumper wire
(AA) from the wired sockets (C) into a wire connector (EE).
□ Replace the ballast cover, if necessary.
nOTe: Insert the ground wire from the electrical box and the ground wire from the light fixture into the third remaining wire connector (EE).

Installing LED Tubes
□ Insert the end of the LED tube (A) labeled "L" into the wired socket with the
hot/live (black) wire connected.
□ Turn the tube a quarter turn to lock it in place.
□ Affix the UL Safety Sticker (DD) in a visible location.
CaUTiOn: If installing more than one LED tube in the fixture, make certain
that all hot/live (L) connections are made at the same end of the side-by-side
tubes (A).

Restoring Power
□ Restore power at the electrical panel.
□ Turn on the light switch to activate the fixture.
installation - Other Fixtures
nOTe: LED linear tubes require single end power only. wiring for Live current goes to one end of the tube and wiring for Neutral goes to the
other end of the tube.

□ Shut off power at the electrical
panel before beginning the

Disconnecting wires
□ Disconnect the hot and neutral (black and white) wires from the fluorescent ballast. The ballast is not required to operate these
4ft. LED tubes (A).
□ Use wire connectors (not included) to cover any exposed wiring after disconnecting the ballast.
□ optional: Cut the wires on both ends of the ballast and remove the ballast and starter. Dispose of the ballast and recycle in
accordance with local requirements.

Removing Existing Tubes
□ Depending upon the fixture type, remove
the fixture lens, and set aside.
□ Remove existing fluorescent tubes and
set aside to recycle in accordance with
local requirements.
□ If needed, remove and set aside the
ballast cover.
