Configuration

Caution
The CPVSC−DN contains electrostatically sensitive com
ponents. The CPVSC−DN may be damaged if the contact
surfaces of the plug connectors are touched and if the
regulations for handling electrostatically sensitive el
ements are not observed.
Proceed with the configuration as follows:
1. Switch off the power supply.
2. Set the following with the rotary switches: the station
number, the baud rate.
3. Set the following with the DIL switch: Extension to the
CP system.
4. If the CPVSC−DN is the first or last slave in a field bus
segment, a terminating resistor must be fitted (120 ,
0.25 W).
Warning
S Make sure that switch−on test pulses are suppressed
if you are operating the CPVSC−DN via a Fail safe I/O
module".
S Check the measures for putting the system into a
safe state in the event of an EMERGENCY STOP.
