Manufacturer's guarantee for binoculars, spotting scopes and riflescopes
The name ZeISS stands for a high level of quality and reliability. As the manufacturer, we
will therefore provide a 10-year guarantee for this ZeISS product independently of the
retailer's guarantee obligations to the customer. The guarantee covers the following:
� In the case of defects caused by faults in material or manufacturing of the optical and
mechanical components, we will pay for the cost of labour and material for a period of
10 years from the date of purchase. In the case of defects caused by faults in material
or manufacturing of the electronic components, we will pay for the cost of labour and
material in the first two years from the date of purchase. We reserve the right, at our
discretion, to repair defective products, replace defective parts or to replace the product
with an equivalent product free from defects. If the device is a custom colour, we reserve
the right to replace it with a device in a standard colour. Any further claims of any nature
whatsoever and for whatever legal argument in connection with this guarantee are
excluded.
� There is no claim under this guarantee if a defect has been caused by improper use or if
accessories produced by another manufacturer are used.
� The guarantee lapses if the product has been interfered with or repaired by a service
company which is not authorised by us. We guarantee wearing parts such as carrying
straps, lens caps, rubber armouring, plastic parts and similar within the guarantee
provisions defined by law.
Further claims for redress under the guarantee, whether contractual or statutory, are
excluded, especially claims for compensation for such damage which did not arise to
the product itself (indirect loss or damage). This does not apply in so far as mandatory
liability is imposed by statute in cases of intent or gross negligence.
� If you would like to register your ZeISS product with us, you can do this via our online
registration on our website at www.zeiss.com/sportsoptics/registration. You will
receive a confirmation email after registration.
� we strongly recommend that you always return your goods in the original
packaging, including the registration confirmation, either directly to our
customer service in wetzlar, Germany (see address below) or via an authorised
Zeiss dealer. if available, please enclose your warranty card / registration
confirmation and/or the sales receipt. it is important that you briefly describe
the necessary repair – this will expedite processing and you will get your device

back faster. it is best to download our repair form. This is on our homepage
in the Download centre or in the service & repair area. simply fill out the
questionnaire and send it in with your well packaged product.
� This guarantee is subject to the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. The place of
jurisdiction for retailers is Wetzlar.
