The CPX−FEC has been designed exclusively for controlling
pneumatic and electric actuators, for interrogating sensor
signals by means of input modules and for communication
via Ethernet.
The maximum limits in the technical specifications must
not be exceeded. Detailed information can be found in the
manual for the CPX−FEC (P.BE−CPX−FEC−..) as well as in the
CPX system manual (P.BE−CPX−SYS−..).
Warning
S Switch off the power supply before connecting or
disconnecting plugs (this will prevent functional
damage).
S Use only power units which guarantee reliable
isolation of the operating voltages as per IEC 742/
EN 60742/VDE 0551 with at least 4 kV isolation
resistance (Protected Extra Low Voltage PELV). Switch
power packs are permitted, providing they guarantee
reliable isolation in accordance with EN 60950/
VDE 0805.
S Connect an earth conductor of sufficient cross−sec
tional area to the connection on the CPX terminal
marked with the earth/ground symbol.
S The CPX−FEC contains electrostatically sensitive com
ponents. Do not touch the electrical contacts of the
components. Observe the regulations for handling
electrostatically sensitive components.
Please note
Commission only a CPX terminal which is fitted and
wired completely.
