The mechanical design and plug−in interface of the MTR−
DCI have been optimized for use with electric linear actua
tors (e.g. type DMES−..., DGE−...) from Festo. The motor
unit can also be used for customer−specific positioniing
applications with slow spindle drives. The actuator can be
mounted directly on the gear of the MTR−DCI by means of a
thread at the front, or via axial connecting elements
(coupling, coupling housing, clamping elements are ob
tainable as accessories).
Commissioning as well as position and speed parametriz
ing of the position sets is carried out:
with the FCT software package and the PlugIn MTR−DCI
via the RS232 interface
or for type MTR−DCI−...H2 optionally with the control
panel of the motor unit (display and 4 operating
buttons).
The higher−order PLC/IPC is connected via digital
inputs/outputs (MTR−DCI−...IO) or with the appropriate
product variants via the field bus (DeviceNet, CANopen,
PROFIBUS−DP).
