4. FRONT HUB
4.1 - DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY OF THE FRONT HUB
• Position Campagnolo
®
tool UT-HU020 in a vice.
• Fit the threaded end of the hub axle in the smallest hole in the tool and tighten the
vice (not excessively) (Fig. 11).
• Unscrew the LH counter-cone (A) (Fig. 12) using a Campagnolo
wrench (UT-BR010 - Fig. 11) countering the rotation of the axle with another

13 mm cone wrench (UT-BR010 - Fig. 11) fully inserted on the LH
cone (C) (Fig. 12), then
remove the washer (B) (Fig.
12).
• Unscrew and remove the LH
cone (C) (Fig. 12) with the 13
mm cone wrench.
• Remove the wheel from the
vice.
• Slide the axle (D) (Fig. 12)
out of the hub body.
• Remove the dust cap (E)
(Fig. 12).

• Remove the ball bearings (F) (Fig.
13).
• Carefully clean the components,
grease the ball bearings and pro-
ceed to refit the system perform-
ing disassembly operations in
reverse order.
Attention
When inserting the axle, be care-
ful not to move the ball bearings out of their seats.
• Fit the axle (D) (Fig. 12) in the hub body, reposition the wheel in the
Campagnolo
on the axle, slide on the washer (B) (Fig. 12) and then tighten the counter-cone
(A) (Fig. 12).

4.2 - FRONT HUB ADJUSTMENT
• Tighten the LH counter-cone (A) (Fig. 12) with the 13 mm cone wrench, countering
the rotation of the axle with another 13 mm cone wrench fully inserted on the LH
cone (C) (Fig. 12).
• Make sure that the hub body can rotate freely and without play, otherwise loosen
the counter-cone and repeat the adjustment.
