Based on crash statistics, the National Highway Traf c Safety
Administration (NHTSA) recommends that parents select the REAR SEAT
as the safest location for a properly installed child restraint rather than a
front seating position.
ONLY PLACE this child restraint REAR FACING in a vehicle seating location allowed by the
vehicle manufacturer. Refer to your vehicle Owner's Manual
seat belt systems, air bags, and child restraint installation to determine allowable seating
positions.
The rear seat is the safest location for an Infant Car Seat. In addition, have an adult ride in the rear
with the child in order to monitor the child.
