Before each use and after a fall or col-
lision, check that the component does
not exhibit any of the following problems:
• Ergopower controls loose on handlebar
or out of position (Fig. 13).
• Ergopower controls, cables and she-
aths damaged and no longer operating
the front derailleur, rear derailleur and
brakes correctly.
• levers jammed and failing to return to
the original position, or damaged levers.
• damaged control covers, which could
cause the hands to slip.
If one or more of these problems are
found or in the event of any doubts on the
correct operation of the component, con-
tact a specialised mechanic as indicated
in chapter 2 "Information and technical
support".
