IDENTIFICATION OF THE VARIOUS SWITCHES
AND INDICATOR LIGHT FUNCTIONS
Refer to the picture below for identification of the various switches and indicator light functions.
RED"I"(L)
light for standard regulators only
FUNCTION TEST SELECTOR SWITCH
STANDARD (STD) OR SIGNAL (SIG)
EXPLANATION OF THE VARIOUS SWITCHES AND INDICATOR LIGHT FUNCTIONS.
FUNCTION TEST SELECTOR SWITCH
• This switch select which of the 2 operating modes, STANDARD (STD) or SIGNAL (SIG), the regulator will be
operated as:
STANDARD for "I"(L)-"__"(BLANK)-"A"(SENSE) and "I"(L)-"GLI"(FR)-"A"(SENSE).
SIGNAL for "GEN-MON"(FR)-"GEN-COM"(SIG)-"A"(SENSE).
VOLTAGE SELECTOR SWITCH
• This switch only operates when the FUNCTION TEST SELECTOR SWITCH is in the SIGNAL (SIG) position for
"GEN-MON"(FR)-"GEN-COM"(SIG)-"A"(SENSE) regulators. It selects the signal for the voltage setting to maintain,
14.5 volt or 13.5 volts.
RED "I"(L) NO CHARGE INDICATOR LIGHT
• This RED light functions as the vehicle "no charge" indicator light on "I"(L)-"__"(BLANK)-"A"(SENSE) and "I"(L)-
"GLI"(FR)-"A"(SENSE) regulators. This light only operates when the FUNCTION TEST SELECTOR SWITCH is in the
STANDARD position.
GREEN "GEN-MON"(FR) LIGHT
• This GREEN light indicates if the regulator "GEN-MON"(FR) terminal is operating properly.
When the regulator is operating, this light will be ON. Since this light circuit is converting a digital signal to analog
signal the light may flicker, this is normal. This light only operates when the
FUNCTION TEST SELECTOR SWITCH is in the SIGNAL position.
