Machine Inspection
Warning: Before each use.
1. Make sure the machine is unplugged and the ON/OFF rocker switch is set to the
OFF position.
2. Inspect the cutting edges of the cutter wheel and reamer blade for wear and/or
damage. Replace if necessary.
3. Inspect the power cord and plug for damage. If the plug has been modified, is
missing the grounding prong or if the cord is damaged, do not use the machine until
the cord and / or plug has been replaced.
4. Clean dirt and debris from the rollers. Rollers must be kept clean to insure proper
machine performance.
5. Inspect machine for any broken, missing, misaligned or binding parts as well as any
other conditions which may affect the safe and normal operation of the machine. If
any of these conditions are present, do not use the machine until any problem has
been repaired.
6. Lubricate machine if necessary according the Maintenance Instructions.
7. Use cutter wheels and accessories that are designed for your machine and meet the
needs of your application. The correct parts and accessories allow you to do the job
successfully and safely. Accessories designed for use with other equipment may be
hazardous when used with this machine.
8. Clean any oil, grease or dirt from all handles and controls. This reduces the risk of
injury due to a tool or control slipping from your grip.
Machine set-up
1. Place the machine on a flat, level bench. Bolt the machine to the bench using the
mounting holes located at the rear of the unit.Failure to place the machine on a stable
bench may result in tipping and serious injury.
Warning
(max. 1,5 mm wall thickness)
Warning:
2. If workpiece extends more than four (4) feet beyond the machine, use one or more
pipe stands to prevent the tube falling.
3. Plug the machine into the electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
Warning: Do not wear gloves or loose clothing when operating ma-
chine. Keep sleeves and jackets buttoned. Always wear eye protection
to protect eyes from dirt and other foreign objects.
Keep fingers and hands away from the reamer and rollers. Reduce the
risk of entanglement and being cut. Properly support long lengths of
tubing. Use pipe supports for lengths of tube greater than 1.2m.
Cutting Tube
1. Mark the tubing at the desired length
Caution: Do not cut visibly bent tubing. Cutting tubing that is bent will result
in excessive vibration.
2. Raise cutter handle of the machine to its maximum height to provide clearance for
the tubing (Figure 3).
3. Place the tubing on the rollers so that the cutting mark is located under the cutter
wheel.
4. Assume the correct operating position in order to maintain proper balance and
control of the unit.
• Stand facing the cutter handle and drive rolls.
• Be sure you have convenient access to the ON/OFF switch.
• Keep hands and fingers away from reamer.
5. Adjust height of cutter wheel assembly to a convenient position. Align the cutter
wheel with the mark on the tubing.
NOTE: To adjust height of the cutter wheel assembly, push handle to the right and
relocate position pin by moving handle up or down.
6. Lower the handle until the cutter wheel support rollers contact the tubing
(Figure 4). Turn the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
Caution: Tubing will rotate. Keep hands away from ends of tubing that may
have burrs or sharp edges.
7. Apply pressure to the handle slowly and continuously until the tubing is cut. Do not
force the cutter wheel into the workpiece. This will damage and shorten the life of
the cutter wheel.
8. Release pressure from the handle but still have the cutter wheel support rollers
maintain contact with the tubing (Figure 5). The rollers will hold the tubing so it will
not fall to the ground.
9. Turn the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position
10. Remove tubing from the machine. Raise the cutter handle to its maximum height.
Reaming I.D. Of Tube
NOTE! Reamer is an accessory and sold separately.
1. Turn ON/OFF switch to ON position.

applying pressure. Long lengths of tubing should be supported by pipe stands.
Warning: Keep fingers away from the reamer cone and pipe end.
3. Turn ON/OFF switch to OFF position.
