6. The display will show remaining read time as the read is performed. The read
duration of the BD Veritor System Reader is approximately 10 seconds. Do not
remove or touch the cartridge during this time.
7. When the read is complete, the test result will be displayed as one of the two
following messages:
QC PASS
QC FAIL
8. If the message QC PASS appears, the reader may be used to test specimens. If
the message QC FAIL appears, the reader may not be used to test specimens
and must be replaced. Please contact BD Technical Services at (800) 638-8663
for assistance.
9. Return the BD Veritor System Verification Cartridge to the resealable pouch for
the next use.
Cleaning
The outer case and display may be wiped with a clean towel lightly moistened with
70% isopropyl alcohol (IPA), 10% bleach solution, or mild soap solution. Do not
introduce cleaning solution or any other liquid directly into the unit. Do not use a
saturated towel which may introduce liquid into the case or display seams. Ensure
that the BD Veritor System Reader is dry and the surface is free of fluid prior to
returning to use.
Servicing
There are no user serviceable components in the unit with the exception of the
replaceable batteries. For technical issues or questions, please contact BD.
Transportation and Storage
The BD Veritor System kit can be stored at room temperature or refrigerated
(2 – 30 °C). DO NOT USE beyond the expiration date.
The BD Veritor System Reader should be stored at 15 – 30 °C.
