Analog Load Cell Shield and Ferrite Installation
There are two methods for terminating the Analog Load Cell cable shield – to chassis ground, or to
the ground pin of the connector. The two methods are illustrated below.
In either method, to meet certain electrical noise emission limits and to protect the IND231/IND236
from external influences, a ferrite core must be installed on the load cell cable connected to the
terminal. The ferrite core is included with the basic terminal.

When using the standard four-wire cable, if an increase in load results in a decrease in weight
display, reverse the signal wires (+SIG and −SIG).
