INSTALLINg THE uPPER SHAFT TO THE LOWER SHAFT (See Figure 3.)
W A R N I N g
Never install, remove, or adjust the lower end of the tool while the unit is running or with the battery
pack installed. failure to stop the motor or remove the battery pack can result in serious personal
injury.
1.
Set the unit on a flat, level surface.
2.
Push in rotating handle latches (1) located on each side of the lower shaft (2). Align the
latches with the positioning hole (3) on the upper shaft (4).
3.
Slide the lower shaft into the upper shaft until the rotating handle latches engage in the
positioning holes.
4.
Insert the screws (5) into the shaft, fastening the lower shaft in place.
