4.1 First Steps

Follow the safety instructions
> Wear protective clothing, eye protection and protective gloves!
> Always wear protective gloves when touching the instrument or the bottle, especially

Selecting the correct discharge valve and discharge tube
The discharge valve and discharge tube are labeled with the spring material. The label 'Pt-Ir' or 'Ta'
must be the same on each instrument. The spring material derives from the application range (ob-
serve Recommended application range, p. 36).
When labels do not match, the desired application is not possible as components can become cor-
roded or decomposed.
