BEZZERA MAGICA - MITICA
MOD.
The temperature check, 3 seconds after pressing
the last key, stores any changes and displays the
boiler temperature again.
4.4.3 Temperature/pressure conver-
sion table
Warnings:
The machine allows you to choose which unit of
measurement of temperature is displayed:
°C
(degrees Centigrade).
°F
(degrees Fahrenheit).
To set a value press the key (Fig. 4-A; pos. A) the
display will show PRG; press the key again (Fig.
4-A; pos. A) the display will show UoM; press the
key (Fig. 4-A; pos. B) to change the unit of meas-
urement of temperature using the keys (Fig. 4-A;

5 – USE OF MACHINE
5.1 Starting the machine and filling
the boiler with water
Open the water interception tap (R Version).
Introduce the water into the tank (S Version) (Fig.
03).
Warnings:
- Use ideal hardness drinking water, in French
degrees approximately 15 °F; never use hot
water.
Insert the plug into the electrical socket.
Switch the main switch (Fig. 01; pos. 1) on the
position 1. It automatically load the water in the
boiler.
If the lights remain off after the loading the water,
turn the machine off and on again until the lights
are on.
5.2 Heating
To make sure the machine has reached the cor-
rect heat balance between pressure and tempe-
rature, when the boiler pressure gauge (Fig. 01;
pos. 14) will indicate a pressure between 1 and
1.2 bar (0.1 - 0.12 MPa), open the steam valve
(Fig. 01; pos. 9) and release the steam into the

drip basin 2 or 3 times.
The yellow light (Fig. 01; pos. 12), when on in-
dicates the regular operation of the machine, if
off indicates insufficient water level in the tank (S
version), in boiler (R version).
Warning:
- A safety device will interrupt the operation of
the motor pump after 120 seconds if the mini-
mum level of water in the boiler is not reached.
The machine will report this alarm by switching
off the yellow light.
5.3 Preparation of coffee
1) Remove the filter holder (Fig. 01; pos. 7) from
the group head.
2) Load the filter-holder with ground coffee, press
the coffee taking care not to get the edge of
the filter-holder dirty.
3) Insert the filter-holder in the group head.
Start running without the filter-holder for about
2/3 seconds MAX (GROUP FLUSH).
4) Raise the lever (Fig. 05) in horizontal position
in order to obtain the delivery of the coffee.
5) To stop the delivery, when achieving the desi-
red dose, return the lever in vertical position
to allow the discharge of the group and the
drying of the coffee pod.
Warning:
- Do not remove the filter holder, loaded with
coffee, when the machine is operating.
- Do not directly touch the metal part of the
filter-holder: risk of burns.
- The standard doses for the filters are 10 grams
for one dose and 20 grams for two doses.
5.4 Steam dispensing
1) To prevent the liquid from being sucked back
into the boiler, discharge the steam by turning
the knob (Fig. 01; pos. 9).
2) Insert the steam nozzle (Fig.01, pos.8) into the
container of the liquid to be heated.
3) Press and hold the steam tap knob (Fig. 01;
pos. 9), lifting the lever the tap will remain
open (Fig. 06). The amount of steam dispen-
sed depends on how far the tap is opened:
the further the tap is opened, the greater the
amount of steam dispensed.
