3.0 Assembly
3.1 Analyzer / Bertrand Lens Module (Optional)
Back out the setscrew on the stand.
Align the module's slot with the stabiliz-
ing pin in the back of the stand. Insert
the dovetail of the Analyzer/Bertrand
Lens module into the the stand. Tighten
the setscrew to lock it into place.
3.2 Seidentopf Viewing Body
Back off the setscrew on the top of the
Analyzer module. Align the viewing
body's slot with the stabilizing pin in the
back of the module. Place the
Seidentopf viewing body on the top of
the Analyzer module. Tighten the
setscrew to lock it into place. Insert the
eyepieces into the eyetubes. Adjust the
eyetubes for interpupilary distance and
eye difference.
Note: Install the eyepiece with the
crossline reticle and orientation notch
into the right eyetube.

3.3 Installing Objectives

Carefully screw the objectives into the revolving
nosepiece holes from the lowest magnification to
highest, while rotating the nosepiece in a clockwise
fashion using the knurled nosepiece ring.
3.4 Filters
Attach the magnetic blue filter to the top of the Kohler
illumination diaphragm ensuring that the magnets
align with the corresponding screws.
