Filter cycles
I The control system activates a programmable "standard" or
"economy" skimming/heating cycle. These cycles utilize pump
#1 and the filter cartridge to clean the water quickly and mini-
mize their "bath-tub ring" effect.
Standard Filtration/Heating Modes
Standard filtration/heating modes (F1-F3) are typically selec-
ted by customers in cold climates where heat up times are ex-
tended due to lower ambient temperatures. In these modes,
the low-speed pump and heater will come on as necessary to
maintain the set temperature 24 hours a day. The low speed
pump will run continuously during the filtration/heating cycles
with the heater coming on as necessary to maintain the set
temperature.
Economy Filtration/Heating Modes (All Models)
Economy filtration/heating modes (F4-F6) are typically se-
lected by customers in warm climates where heat up times a-
re minimized due to higher ambient temperatures. In these
modes, the water temperature is regulated by the set tem-
perature only during a programmed filtration/heating cycle.
The heater will turn on only when there is a heat call during
a programmed filtration/heating cycle.
NOTE: These modes can be used to conserve energy while on
vacation or out of town for several weeks since heater operation
is minimized. During such times, you can also minimize the spa
set temperature to maximize energy savings!
Lock Modes (L1 - L3)
These modes are designed for use during spa service or to prevent
unauthorized use.
Economy skimming/heating modes
I On the control panel, simultaneously hold down both buttons
( + ) and ( - ) and release.
Press either button ( + ) or ( - ) to select respectively the filter-
ing/heating mode or lock modes L1-L2-L3 described below:
Filtration Modes for Spas
I During the filtration/heating cycle the Jets pump 1 low
speed will activate. To set a time for the first filtration/heating
cycle, simply turn power on to the spa two minutes prior to the
desired time. Example: If you desire your first filtration/heating
cycle to begin at 10:00 AM turn off power to the spa and turn it
back on again at 9:58 AM. You can also press the Warmer, Cool-
er and Jets Pump 1 buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds to
restart the spa.
NOTE: Start time is approximate and may vary slightly from day
to day.
With two pump models, an automatic five-minute "blow-out"
function also activates pump 2 for a period of five minutes to
flush all lines. Then, after five minutes, pump 2 turns off and
pump 1 continues to operate for the duration of the cycle.
NOTE: This function only occurs during the first filtration/heating
cycle each day.
I Standard heating/filtering mode (F1-F3)
(the heater is automatically activated if necessary)
F1: 4 hours of skimming/heating per day
(one 2-hour cycle every twelve hours)
F2: 6 hours of skimming/heating per day
(one 2-hour cycle every eight hours)
F3: 8 hours of skimming/heating per day
(one 2-hour cycle every six hours)
I Economy filtering/heating modes (F4-F6)
(the heater is activated only during the filtering cycles)
F4: 4 hours of skimming/heating per day
(one 2-hour cycle every twelve hours)
F5: 6 hours of skimming/heating per day
(one 2-hour cycle every eight hours)
F6: 8 hours of skimming/heating per day
(one 2-hour cycle every six hours)
I Lock modes (L1-L3)
(When in a lock mode the display will flash between the tempera-
ture and the Lock mode number)
L1: Full lock out (de-activates all mini-pool functions)
NOTE: The spa should not be left in this lock mode for an ex-
tended period of time. Especially in colder climates or when freez-
ing conditions exist.
L2: Partial lock out
(disables the buttons for jets and light to prevent unau-
thorized use of the spa). In this mode, the skim-
ming/heating mode continues to operate as programmed.
The temperature display flashes when this function is en-
abled. EXAMPLE: the "F3" skimming/heater cycle was en-
abled prior to choosing lock mode. The mini-pool continues
to perform the "F3" cycle until lock mode is cancelled, al-
lowing another cycle to be selected.
L3: Lock Mode (disables the temperature up and down buttons
to prevent unauthorized temperature adjustments). Filtra-
tion/heating cycle will continue to operate as programmed
in this mode. The jets and lights buttons will still continue to
operate as normal. The temperature display flashes when
this function is enabled. *Due to a difference in software this
feature is not available for all models.
NOTE: To exit a Lock Mode you will need to re-enter the filtra-
tion/heating modes and select a cycle from F1-F6.
