1.- Introduction.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The EVO series electro valves are usually closed; the opening is maintained by an electromagnetic
coil under tension. These valves are manufactured to ensure the interception of combustible, sending
danger signals by gas leak detectors as well as for lack of current of the electric supply; in these cases
the electromechanical device releases the shutter that closed the valve Lodge and blocks the passage
of combustible. The rearming is done manually to identify the causes of the emergency; also, for more
security, these valves can only be rearmed if there is voltage in the network and only when the gas
leak detector does not emit warning signs (positive security). Once eliminated the gas leak or restored
the electric current, to replace the valve to the opening position, it is necessary to act manually pulling
upwards the knob placed on the valve hose.

Combustibles: gas of the three families (city, methane and GPL gas); non aggressive gases.
Materials: Valve body in brass; internal components and resort of stainless steel; retention ring and
O-ring of NBR nitrilic rubber.
3.- Installation
The assembly is not relevant; when horizontal tube it is recommended to maintain the electro valve
hose turn upwards. The valve assembly in the installation should be done with special tools, which
have to be introduced in the input and output orifice cubes.
It is absolutely forbidden to assembly the valve levelling with the hose. Make sure that the pipes are
clean and aligned so the valve is not fixed to excessive strength. Do not obstruct the knob route as the
valve would not work. Make sure that the voltage, pressure, temperature, etc values, indicated under
the technical features are not exceeded.
Respect scrupulously the fuel flow sense indicated by the arrow in the valve.

4.- Maintenance
The electrovalves do not require any maintenance. In case of failure it is recommended a general
review and the corresponding test in the plant. NOTE: It is advisable to periodically control the valve
operation by disconnecting the voltage, in order to check its perfect efficiency.

PERSONNEL ONLY.

5.- GUARANTEE.
All devices manufactured or distributed by Asea Brown Boveri S. A. Fábrica Niessen are made
according to the most modern technology.
The NIESSEN factory guarantees its articles within the supply general terms, provided that it is a
manufacturing defect. In this case, please send the defective equipment to the distributor where it was
acquired, accompanied by the certificate of guarantee
Coverage
The present guarantee applies to those articles with a manufacturing defect. Therefore, it will not be
applied to articles presenting damage as a result of not following correctly the assembly instructions or
when the installation has been completed by non specialized personnel.
Also are excluded damages caused by device misuse and breakdowns produced in the transport.
Validity
The duration of this guarantee is 24 months, to be count from the date of acquisition of the device.
