Setting instructions
Winding and time setting:
The winding and time-setting crown (I) can be placed in two
positions, A and B.
A: Pushed down against the case, winding position.
This is the normal position when the watch is being worn and
guarantees the best water-resistance.
If the watch has not been worn for some time, wind it by rotating
the winding and time-setting crown (I) through several turns. It
is unnecessary to fully wind a watch that is going to be worn. The
winding and time-setting crown (I) is not locked at the end of the
winding cycle; the mechanism therefore cannot be damaged.
B: Time setting position.
When pulled out in this position, the winding and time-setting
crown (I) stops the watch (stop-seconds system). To set the time
precisely, pull the winding and time-setting crown (I) to position B
when the seconds hand (3) is at 12 o'clock, then turn it to set the
hour and minute hands (1 and 2) to the required time. Then push the
winding and time-setting crown (I) back to position A to restart the
watch.
NOTE: If the time is being set in the afternoon, the hour hand (1)
must have completed more than one full revolution since the last
day of the week, date and month change (4, 5 and 6) to ensure that
the date changes at midnight.

Setting the date:
If your watch has been stopped for a few days only, it is easier to pull
the winding and time-setting crown (I) to position B and advance
the hands by the time elapsed since the watch stopped. This method
conserves the synchronisation of the different displays.
If the watch has been stopped for longer, all indications will have to
be adjusted one by one. Begin by setting the date to yesterday's
date.
IMPORTANT: Do not adjust the day of the week, month or date (4
to 6) by pressing the correctors (II, IV or V) between 7pm and 1am.
Correcting the day of the week (6):
Correct the day of the week by pressing the day of the week
corrector (II) using the corrector pen (VI) supplied with the watch.
Each time the day of the week corrector (II) is pressed, the date
advances by one day. Set the day in the days of the week aperture
(6) to yesterday.
