5. Operation
Fit the injector to the test equipment to apply pressure.
Connect the injector to the HK853 using the cable supplied. Note that the plug is keyed to
ensure correct polarity.
Check that the 120V/240V selector, located next to the power input, is correct for the supply.
Connect the HK853 to the power supply using the power lead supplied.
Turn the Hz and WIDTH knobs fully anti-clockwise.
Switch on the power.
Press the green button and check that the adjacent STATUS indicator turns on.
Turn the Hz knob clockwise to start pulsing. (injector 'clicks').
Note that the PULSE indicator flashes on to indicate a voltage pulse is present on the output.
Apply pressure to get injections.
Adjust Hz and width as required.
6. Trouble shooting
The only user serviceable part is the power input fuse.
If the STATUS indicator flashes, switch off for 10seconds to clear.
Disconnect the injector to check if the STATUS indicator will now latch on.
If the problem persists when the injector is connected, try another injector.
If the fault repeats on another injector, report the fault to your Service Agent.
If the STATUS indicator will not turn on when the green button is pressed, check:
The power is connected.
The power switch is on.
The voltage input selector, located next to the power inlet, is set correctly.
The fuse located next to the power switch is OK (2A anti-surge, 20mm *5mm).
If the injector does not fire, check:
The Hz knob is turned clockwise and the STATUS indicator is on.
Try another injector.
Does the PULSE indicator flash on? This indicates that a voltage pulse is output
to the injector.
