Adjusting the volume
Press briefly on the volume up (+) or volume down (–) button. There are four
volume levels.
The end positions are indicated with a tone.
Plug Mode
Allows the user to increase the active-listening volume when wearing earplugs.
Note: ONLY use this function when wearing earplugs under the hearing
protectors. This mode always returns to normal when the unit is switched off.
Balance Mode
Allows the user to adjust the volume between the right and left ear.
EQ Mode
Allows the user to adjust the frequency range of the active-listening function.
External Mute Mode
Allows the user to manually mute the active-listening function when transmitting
or receiving with a communication radio connected to the headset.
Release Time Mode
Allows the user to adjust the amount of time before the active-listening function
switches on again.
STORAGE (D)
NOTE: Make sure to disconnect the microphone plug for audio input before
collapsing the headband!
(D:) WRONG All guide wires must be pushed in correctly before the headband
is collapsed.
(D:2) RIGHT The ear cushions should lie flat against each other.
(D:3) WHEN DAMP Turn the shells outwards. Remove the ear cushions to
allow the attenuation cushions and electronics to dry. Reassemble. See the
CARE section.
CARE (E)
CLEANING
Clean the shells, headband and ear cushions with a rag and warm water.
Note: Do not immerse the shells in water!
REPLACING THE BATTERIES (E:1), (E:2)
To replace the batteries, insert your fingers under the edge of the battery cover.
Loosen each side a bit, then lift off the entire cover. Remove the batteries when
storing the hearing protector for a long time. Check the function of the unit after
replacing the batteries.
REMOVING/REPLACING THE EAR CUSHIONS
(E:3) Insert your fingers under the edge of the ear cushion and pull straight
out.
(E:4) Insert the new ear cushion by pressing it in until it snaps in place.

H68-2 Hygiene kit for headsets with bone-conduction microphone
Easy to replace hygiene kit consisting of two attenuation cushions and snap-in
ear cushions. Replace at least twice a year to ensure constant attenuation,
hygiene and comfort, or if any of the parts of the hygiene kit are defective. The
headset and particularly the ear cushions can deteriorate over time and should
be inspected regularly to ensure that there are no cracks and sound leakage. If
an ear cushion is damaged, it must be replaced; see the CARE section.

Adapters that give optimum adaptation of Peltor headsets to most
communication radio models on the market.
The adapter has a functional, watertight, sturdy casing with no protruding parts.
