Possible misuse
CAUTION!
Risk of accidents due to failure of the
parking brake!
Do not use the eye of the breakaway ca-
ble guide, parts of the brake linkage or
the spring pack of the parking brake for
lashing or towing!
If placed under tensile load, the eye
bends, and the spring package of the
parking brake jumps out of its holder.
The gross weight rating is stamped onto every
overrun hitch. The gross weight of the trailer
must not exceed this value.
The attachment to the vehicle must fulfil the
requirements for height-adjustable support
equipment (jockey wheel) for imposed loads
greater than 50 kg, ECE R55-01 appendix 7.
Comply with any bodywork guidelines that are
provided.
The handbrake lever is not allowed to make
contact in an emergency. Corresponding
clearances must be observed without fail
(11-1, 12-1)!
AL-KO recommends fitting a skid bra-
cket (12-2) and carrying out a clearance
check with the handbrake lever fully ap-
plied (emergency brake is activated).
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
