PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Designated use
The overrun device is an integral part of the bra-
king system of the trailer and must be fully moun-
ted and inspected before it is used for connecting
the trailer to the towing vehicle.
Permissible weight range in accordance with
typespecifications:
AE Profi V3000: 1600 - 3000 kg
AE Profi V3500: 2000 - 3500 kg
Using this option for any other or additional pur-
pose is considered contrary to its designated use.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any
damage resulting from such use.

Possible misuse
CAUTION!
Risk of accident due to failure of the
parking brake!
Do not use the breakaway cable guide
ring for towing and pulling!
Tension on the ring will cause it to bend
and the spring assembly of the parking
brake to jump out of its mount.
The gross weight rating is stamped onto every
overrun hitch. The gross weight of the trailer
must not exceed this value.
INSTALLATION
Installation on the vehicle must meet the re-
quirements of Directive 94/20/EC, Annex VII.
Any applicable installation guidelines must be
taken into consideration.
The breakaway cable must always be pro-
perly inserted through a breakaway cable
guide ring (1).
The hand-brake lever may not rest on the
ground in an emergency. It is essential that
appropriate clearance be provided (2)!
So that the screw heads fit better to the
elongated holes of the overrun device, we re-
commend reinforced washers (∅13 DIN 7349
or a similar washer that is at least 4 mm thick).
CAUTION!
risk of accident!
In an emergency, it must be ensured
that the handbrake lever remains free to
move after activation using the breaka-
way cable (hand-brake in closed posi-
tion). If the hand-brake were to contact
the surface of the roadway, the emer-
gency brake would no longer function!
AL-KO recommends fitting a skid bra-
cket (2-1) and carrying out a clearance
check with the handbrake lever fully ap-
plied (emergency brake is activated).
