After switching the system on: wait 5 seconds for
the pantograph to be operational.
Before switching the system off: after actuating
the pantograph, wait at least 3 seconds until the
system is switched off.
f2 on: Pantograph moves up
f2 off: Pantograph moves down
We recommend that you disengage the panto-
graph before removing the housing.
If the pantograph does not return to the upper
position by itself after being disengaged, we
recommend that you remove the coach housing
or else use the Control Unit, Mobile Station or
Central Station to extend the pantograph
upwards. Do not pull the pantograph under any
circumstances.
The electronic circuit only reacts to a change in
function. Turning the function on and off rapidly
will be ignored by the electronic circuit.
Only move the pantograph while the vehicle is at a
standstill.
Do not change the movement of the pantographs
until the end position for them has been reached.

The end position of the pantograph is determined
by the electronic system. After interruptions in ope-
rations, the electronic circuit must partially relearn
these positions. This readjustment can be reco-
gnised by the change in the time required for the
downward movement.
When turning the layout on, the indicator for the
functions on the locomotive controller may not
reflect the actual situation, if there are interruptions
in the current to the layout or in similar operating
circumstances. After the function button has been
pressed, the display and state coincide once again.
Interruption in current when the pantographs
are being raised or lowered: The pantograph will
not move even after turning the power back on.
Only after the function button has been pressed
once more does the pantograph move again.
The pantographs cannot be raised or lowered
in signal blocks or in other areas of track where
the power is turned off.
Under no circumstances should the entire panto-
graph drive be greased or oiled! Do not touch
the drive wheels!
The pantograph (inc. drive) can only be repaired in
an authorised Märklin repair business or directly
by Märklin's repair department. The parts are not
available as spares.
