ASSEMBLING THE PINLOCK® ANTI FOG LENS
After removing the visor from the helmet, place the Pinlock® anti fog lens inside it, with the silicone seal
facing the inside of the visor.
Insert the notch on the left side of the lens onto the pin located inside the visor on the left side (19), then flex
the lens slightly (20) and insert the right notch onto the right pin of the visor.
Fig. 21 Check that that silicone seal on the Pinlock® anti fog lens adheres tightly to the visor along the whole
of the perimeter of the helmet (22).
Remove the protective film from the Pinlock® anti fog lens and fit the visor on the helmet.
! Important. The Pinlock® anti fog lens must be handled with care to prevent scratches
or abrasions from forming on its surface.
REMOVING AND CLEANING THE PINLOCK® ANTI FOG LENS
To remove the lens repeat the operations (20 and Fig. 19) in reverse order.
Clean the Pinlock® anti fog lens using mild soap, warm water and a moistened soft cloth. Allow it to dry
thoroughly for at least one day before repositioning it.
!
Important. NEVER USE ABRASIVE CLEANING PRODUCTS OR LIQUIDS
CONTAINING AMMONIA OR ALCOHOL.
ASSEMBLING THE TEAR OFFS
The tear off is used to protect the visor from dirt that can accumulate while riding and to keep it clean by
removing the strip as required by tearing it off.
! Important. Make sure to remove the protective film on both sides before fitting the
tear off on the visor.
Before installing the tear off rotate the eccentric pawls, moving them toward each other; then fasten the tear
off to the pawls (23) with the tear-off tab on the side of the helmet you prefer. To make the tear-off tab easier
to grasp, the tear off can be bent slightly to the outside, so that it does not adhere fully to the helmet. Then
rotate the eccentric fastening pawls (24) to tighten the tear off and make it adhere correctly to the visor. Finally,
according to your needs, a second tear off can be applied over the first one, with the tear-off tab on the side
you prefer.
REMOVING/FITTING THE NOSE GUARD
Remove the nose guard by pulling it upward (Fig.25).
To reposition, insert the fastening tooth into the special housings and press until it snaps into place.
REMOVING THE WIND BREAK
Slide out the part of the wind break inserted between the outer shell and the chin guard (Fig.26).
To replace it, repeat the operations in reverse order.
REMOVING THE CHEEK PADS AND NECK ROLL
To remove the cheek pads, hold them in front near the chin guard and pull them in the direction of the arrow
to free them from the press studs (27). Slide the plastic flap out of its position and remove the cheek pads (28).
To reposition, repeat the previous operations in reverse order.
REMOVING THE CROWN PAD
To remove the crown pad, undo the buttons at the front (29) then at the rear (30).
Reverse the process to fit the pad.
20
ADJUSTING THE CROWN PAD
The crown pad fitted on the helmet is adjustable to allow the user to obtain the best possible comfort fit.
To adjust the crown pad it must first be removed from the helmet (see paragraph REMOVING THE CROWN
PAD).
The crown pad has 3 possible adjustments:
1- If contact with the top of the head is poor, move the 2 bands toward the centre and, in the opposite case, move
them to the sides using the special pull tape inserts (33); if the helmet is positioned too high with respect to the
cheekbones, move the two bands (33-A) away from each other, while if the helmet is positioned too low with
respect to the cheekbones, move the two bands toward each other (Fig.33-B).
The correct fit in height of the helmet can also be obtained by adjusting the two bands (34)
N.B. Take care that the two bands are both positioned in the same way and that they do not overlap other parts
of the helmet.
2- If the user wishes a tighter fit in the neck area, or greater pressure on the forehead and cheeks, the semi-
circular sponge pad included in the helmet pack can be inserted in the pocket located on the back of the crown
pad (35).
3- Four sponge inserts are inserted in the crown pad to allow adjustment of its pressure on the head (1/2/3/4 Fig.
35). These can be replaced with other thicker inserts which are available as accessories.
N.B. The sponge inserts have different densities on the two sides, and must be inserted with the thicker side
facing toward the head.
WASHING THE INNER PARTS
After having removed the inner parts, the crown pad and cheek pads can be hand washed in warm water with
mild soap.
After washing, rinse in running water.
Do not wring and dry at room temperature away from direct sunlight.
OPENING/CLOSING THE CHIN GUARD AIR VENTS
To open/close the chin vent, raise/lower the mechanism inside the vent (36,37,38).
OPENING/CLOSING THE FRONT AIR VENTS
The helmet has n° 3 air vents arranged in the front area of the helmet above the visor.
For the Pista GP helmet the air vents are opened and closed by respectively removing or fitting covers.
To remove the side covers grasp the tab and pull it in the direction of the arrow (43).
To fit the side covers (44), first insert the narrower end into the metal frame, then flex the cover and insert the
other end; finally press the cover in the centre to insert it fully.
To remove the central cover grasp the tab and pull in the direction of the arrow (45).
To fit the central cover (46), first insert one side into the metal frame, then flex the cover and insert the other
end; finally press the cover in the centre to insert it fully.
REAR EXTRACTORS
The rear area of the helmet is provided with n° 2 extractors, which are always open due to their structure and
position and allow air to be removed from inside the helmet with a proportional effect as speed increases.
FITTING/REMOVING THE SPOILER
The helmet is provided with a spoiler which can be used to increase its aerodynamic performance by reducing
drag and increasing stability.
To remove the spoiler unscrew the 3 screws fastening it to the helmet, 2 at the sides and 1 in the centre.
To fit it (50), the spoiler must be positioned on the helmet and fastened with the 3 screws.
