Cooking eggs
1.
Assemble and fit the jug.
2.
Add 500ml of cold water.
3.
Place the eggs into the egg tray and lower it into the jug using the hook.
4.
Fit the lid and cup.
5.
Press the L button and use the + and – buttons to enter the time. It takes 5 minutes for the cold
water to heat up and create steam. Add to this the amount of time required to cook the eggs to your
preference. Therefore for an egg with a medium yolk, set the timer to 10-11 minutes.
Soft - approx. 3-4 minutes
Medium - approx. 5-6 minutes
Hard - approx. 6-7 minutes
6.
When the timer is finished the unit will beep 5 times. Immediately remove the egg tray using the
hook. Eggs will continue cooking in their shells even after they have been removed. Rinsing them in
cold water will help to prevent this.
TIMER (DELAY START)
The Chunky Soup, Smooth Soup, Sauce and Boil/steam programs can be set to start after a specific time
(delay start). This can be from 1 minute to 12 hours 59 minutes.
1.
Assemble and fill the jug.
2.
Press the
button. The hours will flash. Use the + and – buttons to enter the number of hours.
3.
Press the
button. The minutes will flash. Use the + and – buttons to enter the number of minutes.
4.
Press the required program button. Accept the default time or use the + and – buttons to enter the
desired program run time.
5.
The display will show the time delay you entered and start to count down. When the delay time has
elapsed, the selected program will start and the display will count down the program time.
KEEP WARM
The Chunky Soup, Smooth Soup and Boil/steam programs automatically switch to keep the warm mode
after the program has ended. This will keep the food at 70-80ºC for up to 40 minutes. The button 2 light
will change to white when in keep warm mode. After 40 minutes the appliance will switch to standby.

HINTS AND TIPS

If a recipe requires cheese or cream to be added, do this at the end of the program, to prevent
curdling. There will normally be sufficient heat left in the soup to melt cheese.
For uniform cooking, cut everything except cheese into cubes of 1.5-2.5cm.
Cut cheese into cubes no larger than 1.5cm.
Smoothies taste better when made with chilled ingredients.
Homemade soups may be refrigerated for 24 hours, or frozen for up to 4 weeks.
Be sparing with seasonings before cooking, then taste and adjust before serving.
For best results, use between 150ml and 500ml of ice cubes in the ice crushing program.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Switch the appliance off ( 2 ) and unplug it.
1.
2.
Wipe the outside of the motor unit with a clean damp cloth.
3.
Wipe the jug, inside and out, with a damp cloth.
4.
Handwash the lid and cup.
