TECHNICAL FEATURES

For information concerning the technical features, refer to the data plate (label placed near the water inlet and outlet
tubes).
Model
Weight
kg.
This appliance complies with the provisions set forth in LVD 2006/95/EC Low Voltage Directive - EMC 2004/08/EC
Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive.
INSTALLATION REGULATIONS (for the installer)
CAUTION! Follow the general warnings and the safety norms listed at the
!
beginning of the text and keep to all the instructions given under all circumstances.
The installation and initial start-up of the water heater must be carried out by qualified personnel in conformity
to the applicable regulations and to any provisions specified by local authorities and public health bodies.
The appliance heats water to a temperature below boiling point. It must be linked up to a domestic water mains sized
according to the appliance's performance levels and capacity.
Before connecting the appliance, it is first necessary to:
- Check whether the characteristics (refer to the data plate) satisfy the customer's requirements.
- Verify that the installation conforms to the appliance's IP rating (protection against fluid penetration) according to
the applicable regulations.
- Read the information appearing on the packaging label and on the data plate.

Installing the appliance

This appliance was designed for being installed exclusively inside buildings, in conformity to the applicable regulations.
Moreover, it is important to observe the following precautions relative to:
- Humidity: do not install the appliance in closed (unventilated) and humid rooms.
- Frost: do not install the appliance in rooms where the temperature is likely to drop below critical levels causing
potential frost build-up.
- Sunlight: do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight, even if filtered through windows.
- Dust/vapours/gases: do not install the appliance in environments containing aggressive substances such as acidic
vapours and dust, or rooms saturated with gases.
- Electrical discharges: do not install the appliance directly on electrical lines that are not protected against sudden
voltage jumps.
In the case of walls made of bricks or perforated blocks, partition walls with limited staticity, or masonry different to
that specified, a preliminary static check must be carried out on the supporting system.
The wall-mounting fastening hooks must be capable of supporting a total weight three times superior to the weight
of the water heater when it is filled with water.
Fastening hooks with a diameter of at least 12 mm are recommended.
Local regulations could include restrictions on installation inside bathrooms. Therefore, observe the minimum distances
specified in the applicable regulations.
The appliance (A Fig. 1) must be installed as close as possible to the usage points to limit heat dispersion along the
piping.
To facilitate maintenance activities, leave a gap of about 50 cm for accessing the electrical components.
PLUMBING CONNECTION
Connect the water heater inlet and outlet to pipes or pipe fittings capable of withstanding the operating pressure and
temperature of the hot water, which could normally reach and even exceed 80°C. Therefore, materials that cannot
withstand such temperatures should not be used.
Screw a "T" fitting identified by a blue collar onto the appliance's water inlet pipe. Screw a water heater drainage tap,
which can only be adjusted using a tool (B Fig. 2), onto one side of the fitting, and the overpressure protection device
onto the other side (A fig. 2).
CAUTION! For countries that have transposed European standard EN 1487:2000, the pressure safety device
provided with the product does not comply with national standards. The standard device must have a maximum
pressure of 0.7 MPa (7 bar) and must at least include the following: a cut-off valve, a check valve, a control
device for the check valve, a safety valve and a heat shut-off valve.
