5. Cut off excess lead wire approximately 6-9 in. above top of
the downrod (C). Strip insulation off ½ in. from the end of each
lead wire. (Fig. 5)

HANGING INSTRUCTIONS

To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure
WARNING:
electricity is turned off at the main fuse box before hanging. (Fig. 6)
NOTE: If you are not sure if the outlet box is grounded, contact
a licensed electrician for advice, as it must be grounded for
safe operation.
1. Install hanger bracket (B) by drilling ¼ in. pilot hole through
the center of the junction box, into the ceiling joist or structural
member. Attach hanger bracket (B) to ceiling structure using
3/8 in. x 5 in. lag bolt (AA) and flat washer (BB). (Fig. 7)
2. Remove hex head bolt, two lock washers, locknut and clevis
pin already assembled in the hanger bracket (B) and carefully
assemble the fan to the hanger bracket by running bolt through
hole in the downrod (C). (Fig. 8)
