WARNING: when using for the first time or after a period of disuse, direct the
steam jet into a container to eliminate any excess water.
CAUTION: Avoid skin contact with the steam. The high temperature could cause serious
scalding. Never direct the steam jet towards people or animals or items and surfaces
that cannot withstand such high temperatures.
CAUTION: The safety button cannot be used to dispense steam constantly; it can only be
used to prevent steam being dispensed accidentally by children or by people who do not
know how to use the appliance. If you must leave the nozzle (A) momentarily unat-
tended while the appliance is switched on, always move the safety button (A2) to the
locked position. To recommence steam operations, move the button back to its initial
position.
When you have finished using the steam cleaner, you can switch off the boiler tank by pressing
the relevant on/off button (13).
CAUTION: Never unscrew the cap while the boiler tank is pressurised and never oper-
ate the appliance without water.
NOTE: When you use the appliance for the first time, it is possible that it will give off a smell for
a few minutes. This is caused by the heating and resulting drying of the sealants used during the
boiler tank assembly.

STEAM AND VACUUM OPERATION

To use the appliance as a vacuum cleaner, follow the steps
described in section 2.1 "Vacuum operation only"; for steam
operation, follow the steps described in section 2.2 "Steam
operation only".
By pressing the steam-dispensing button (A3) at the same time
as the vacuum button (A4) on the handle, it is possible to use
the appliance in combined vacuum-steam-cleaning mode.

FILLING THE BOILER TANK WHILE USING THE APPLIANCE

When the water in the boiler tank is finished, if you press the button A3, no steam will be dis-
pensed. To refill the boiler tank, proceed as follows:
a) switch off the boiler tank, using the boiler tank switch (13);
b) press the steam button (A3) to discharge any residual steam;
c) switch off the appliance using the main switch (8);
d) unplug the appliance from the mains power;
e) slowly unscrew the safety cap (16) and wait a few seconds for the hissing noise of the resid-
ual steam to stop before unscrewing it completely.
WAIT A FEW MINUTES BEFORE POURING MORE WATER INTO THE BOILER TANK.
