Problem
Air conditioner

Solution
Wall plug disconnected. Push plug firmly into wall outlet.
House fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped. Replace fuse with time delay
type or reset circuit breaker.
Plug current sensor tripped. Press the RESET button.
Power is OFF. Turn power ON.
Room temperature is below 62
room temperature rises above 62
Temperature sensor behind the air filter element is touching the cold coil.
Keep it away from the cold coil.
Set to a lower temperature.
Compressor stopped when changing modes. Wait 3 minutes after
set to the Cool mode.
Outdoor temperature below 64
Fan Only mode.
Air filter may be dirty. Clean the filter. Refer to the care and cleaning
section on page 25.
Thermostat set too cold for nighttime cooling. Set the temperature to a
higher setting.
Dirty air filter—air is restricted. Clean the air filter. Refer to the care and
cleaning section on page 25.
Temperature is set too high. Set temperature to a lower setting.
Air directional louvers positioned improperly. Position louvers for better
air distribution.
Front of unit is blocked by drapes, blinds, furniture, etc., restricting
airflow. Remove whatever is blocking the front of the unit.
Doors, windows, registers, etc. open so cold air escapes. Close doors,
windows, registers, etc.
Allow additional time to remove stored heat from walls, ceiling, floor
and furniture.
Dirty air filter - air is restricted. Clean the air filter.
Outside temperature is extremely hot. Set FAN speed to a higher setting
to bring air past cooling coils more frequently.
Improper installation. Tilt the air conditioner slightly to the outside to allow
water to drain. Refer to installation instructions on page 12.
Unit is removing a large quantity of moisture from a humid room. This is
normal during excessively humid days.
Room Temperature sensor error. Unplug the unit and wait 3 minutes before
you plug it back in. Note: in Fan Only mode, it will display "LO" or "HI."
Evaporator temperature sensor error. Unplug the unit and wait 3 minutes
before you plug it back in.
