• Hold the head of the power cord when unplugging it. Do not pull on the cord. It may cause
electrical shock or damage.
• Do not place heavy objects on the power cord. Make sure that the cord is not compressed.
There is danger of a fire or electrical shock.
• Do not drink drained water from the unit. It contains contaminants that can make you sick.
• Before cleaning the unit, turn it and the circuit breaker off. Do not clean it while the power is
on. This may cause fire, electrical shock or injury.
• Make sure there are no obstacles around air inlets or inside air outlets. This may cause unit
to fail or cause an accident.
• Ensure that the installation bracket of the outdoor part of the appliance is not damaged due
to prolonged exposure to the elements. If the bracket is damaged the unit may fall.
• Turn off the main power switch when not using the unit for an extended time. It may cause
unit failure or fire.

Note: The power supply cord with this air conditioner contains a current sensor designed to
reduce the risk of fire. Please refer to the operation of the current sensor section for details.
In the event that the power supply cord is damaged, it cannot be repaired. It must be replaced
by a qualified technician.
• The electrical rating of your new room air conditioner is listed on the serial plate. Refer to the
rating when checking the electrical requirements.
• Be sure the air conditioner is properly grounded. To minimize shock and fire hazards, proper
grounding is important. The power cord is equipped with a three-prong grounding plug for
protection against shock hazards.
• Your air conditioner must be used in a properly grounded wall outlet. If the wall outlet you
intend to use is not adequately grounded or protected by a time delay fuse or circuit breaker,
have a qualified electrician install the proper outlet. Make sure the outlet is accessible after
the unit is installed.
• Do not use an extension cord or an adapter plug with the unit.
• Do not, under any circumstances, cut or remove the third grounding prong from the
power cord plug.
