Fluid tip not properly
tightened.
Air distribution ring

Loose air cap.
Gap between air
cap and fluid tip is

Nozzle set is soiled.
Damaged nozzle
set.
Material flow pres-
sure not constant.
Air cap hole clogged
with paint.
Damaged fluid tip
(fluid tip aperture).
Flat and round fan
air imbalance.
Air distribution ring
not in correct posi-
tion.
Air distribution ring
damaged.
Corrective action
Tighten fluid tip.
Replace air distribu-
tion ring (see chap-
ter 10.2).
Tighten air cap ring
by hand.
Clean gap.
Clean nozzle set.
Replace nozzle set
(see chapter 10.1)
Check material flow
pressure.
Clean air cap (see
chapter 10.1).
Check fluid tip for
damage. Replace
nozzle set if neces-
sary (see chapter
10.1).
Set the correct flat
and round fan air
(see chapter 9.1).
Put air distribution
ring in correct po-
sition (see chapter
10.2).
Replace air distribu-
tion ring (see chap-
ter 10.2).
