Always read the operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time.

Unpack the appliance.
•
Remove all packaging materials from the inside of the appliance: plastic accessories as well as the removable
power cord.
•
Wipe the metal housing with a clean damp cloth.
•
Rinse the cooking bowl, the condensation collector, the trivet, the steaming basket, and the sealing gasket using
gentle dish washing liquid. Do not use harsh, abrasive, or chemical cleaners at any time.
•
Be aware: only the accessories are dishwasher safe.
•
To open the lid, take hold of the handle, turn it to the left, lift and pull the lid to the right.
PREPARING YOUR ELECTRIC PRESSURE COOKER
•
Put the condensation collector into place. Check that the sealing gasket is in the correct position under the lid.
•
Place your appliance on a flat surface.
•
Unroll the power cord; connect it to the appliance then to the wall outlet. It is now ready for operation.
•
Ensure that the pressure limit valve is on and in the right position. Please note that the valve does not click
into place and that it will remain somewhat loose. Check that the pressure limit valve is down before you start
pressure cooking (please see picture on the DESCRIPTION OF PARTS section).
