9 Starting and Stopping the Tiller

► Hold handlebar (1) with one hand on han‐
dle (2).
► Press lever (3) downwards with the other hand
and hold.
► Move handlebar (1) into the desired position.
► Release lever (3).
The handlebar is engaged.
8.2 Adjusting the Handlebar Later‐
ally
The handlebar can be adjusted laterally to three
positions.
► Stop the engine.
► Place the tiller on a level surface.
► Hold handlebar (1) with one hand on one of
the two handles (2).
► Pull lever (3) upwards with the other hand.
► Move handlebar (1) into the desired position.
► Release lever (3).
The handlebar is engaged.

9.1 Starting and Stopping the
Engine
9.1.1 Starting the Engine
► Place the tiller on a level surface.
► Set idle.

► Set main switch (1) to the I position.
► Slowly pull out starter handle (1) to the point of
noticeable resistance.
► Keep quickly pulling out and returning starter
handle (1) until the engine is running.
► If the engine does not start: see the engine
instruction manual.
9.1.2 Stopping the Engine
► Place the tiller on a level surface.
► Switch off self-propulsion.
The drive is disengaged and the drive shaft no
longer rotates.
► Set main switch (1) to the 0 position.
The engine cuts out.
9.2 Setting the Gear
Four gears can be set.
0 = Idle
