FRONT PANEL FUNCTIONS (CONT.)
NOTES
10. OUTPUT (CONT.)
HIGH: This is the 20 Watt output setting.
STANDBY: This is used in conjunction with
the mains POWER switch (Front Panel
Function #11) to 'warm up' the amplifier
before use and to prolong the life of the
output valves. When powering up, always
switch mains POWER on first, leaving the
OUTPUT switch in the STANDBY position.
This allows the application of the voltage
required to heat the valves to their
correct
operating
temperature.
After
approximately two minutes the valves
will have reached the correct operating
temperature and the amplifier can be
engaged.
In order to prolong valve life, STANDBY
alone should be used to turn the amplifier
on and off during breaks in performance.
LOW: This is the 5 Watt output setting. LOW
output drops the volume level without
having any discernable effect on the tone.
11. POWER
This is the on/off switch for the mains
power to the amplifier. When POWER is
switched on, the switch will light red.
WARNING: Please ensure that the amplifier
is switched off and unplugged from the mains
electricity supply before being moved.
