Warranty Scope
This warranty offered by British American Tobacco SA (Pty) Ltd. is
applicable in the Republic of South Africa and covers the elimination of
faults in the product. Under the warranty, subject to the terms of the
Consumer Protection Act, No 68 of 2008, we may either repair the fault
(restoration) or provide you with a fault-free product (replacement), at
our discretion. Products returned by purchasers become the property of
British American Tobacco SA (Pty) Ltd.
The warranty only covers faults that occur despite the fact that the
product has been used correctly and the instructions for use in the User
Manual have been followed, and faults reported using the correct
procedure.
The warranty will also apply if the purchaser gives the product to a third
party. In such case, the purchaser should provide this warranty
statement to the new owner.
Warranty Period
This product is covered by warranty for a period of one year following
the date of purchase.
Warranty Exclusions
The following faults are excluded from the warranty:
• Damage caused by normal use of the product to the components of
the product or to other elements supplied;
• Accidental damage (such as scratches or small dents);
• Damage caused by incorrect or non-compliant use (such as power
fluctuation, misuse, contact with a liquid);
• Malfunctions caused by use with incompatible products or connection to such
products;
• Damage and malfunctions caused by the purchaser or an unauthorized service
provider as a result of an attempt to open, modify or repair the product;
• Damage or malfunctions resulting from a failure to comply with the instructions
for use specified in Glo User Manual.
Reporting of faults
The warranty only applies if the fault is reported correctly.
The purchaser accepts that the fault must be reported immediately after it has
been identified by telephone to the Customer Service (contact details below).
Please ensure that you have the documentation for proof of purchase (verifying
the date of purchase) before making the phone call.
Severability
If any one of the above provisions is found to be invalid, void or unenforceable, in
whole or in part, the remaining provisions will be considered as remaining in full
force and effect.
