Description
The KAL775 provides loop isolation protection in an
addressable fire detection system.
Installation
Caution:
For general guidelines on system planning, design,
installation, commissioning, use and maintenance, refer to the
EN54:14 standard and local regulations.
Module Installation
Disconnect the fire system power supply and install the module
in the protective housing provided.
Connect the loop cable shield wire to the earth screw.
Install the module between loop devices and connect it via the
loop input and output connectors.

Connect the module as shown in Figure 1:

Status LED
The status LED is lit when isolation is active (a short circuit has
been detected).
Maintenance and testing
Basic maintenance consists of a yearly inspection. Do not
modify internal wiring or circuitry.
To test the module create a short circuit and check that the
status LED is activated.
