1. COMPONENTS INCLUDED
2. DESCRIPTION, PROPERTIES AND MECHANISM OF ACTION
A. Description
An energy-returning prosthetic foot, designed to deliver stability and comfort to patients when they perform everyday activities. On
delivery, the following components are fitted:
A prosthetic foot with a pyramid interface
A polyurethane foot shell
A sock woven from technical-grade fibres
Malleolar clip
B. Properties
This device has undergone a two-million-cycle test, in accordance with standard NF EN ISO 10328 (as indicated in the table below, up
to a maximum patient weight of 125 kg), which corresponds to a service life of 2 to 3 years, depending on the patient's mobility level.

C. Mechanism of action
At heel strike, only the lightweight alloy frame is in contact with the ground; although this component is rigid, the contact deforms the
elastomer block which absorbs the loading that occurs at the start of the stance phase.
As the stance phase progresses, the contact transfers from the rear of the foot to the front, i.e. from the lightweight alloy frame to the
large blade. This large blade gradually deforms, through to heel-off.
At heel-off, only the front part of the large blade is in contact with the ground; at toe-off, the energy stored when deforming this blade
is returned to create an impulse.
The split blade and elastomer system accommodate inversion-eversion mobility.

A carbon blade, split at the front, lets the foot store and return energy as well as
allow inversion - eversion at the forefoot
A lightweight alloy frame which transmits the forces generated at heel strike into
the blade
These two components are linked via an elastomer block which allows inversion
- eversion of the foot and a good roll-over from heel strike to heel-off.
