FOR ANCHORAGE DEVICE LV106 (Pivot anchor)
1/ DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT & IMPORTANT POINTS:
The host structure may be a metal structure or an uncracked wood structure. The strength of the structure must be of a minimum of 12kN.
The anchorage device may only be used by one person at a time and must be used with a certified fall arrest PPE.
The anchorage system consists of three elements: 1/ Superior plate 2/ Inferior plate 3/ Pivot D-ring.
These elements have an interaction with each other that may affect the system's safety function. To avoid danger, the user must ensure
the proper implementation of each element of the overall system safety support.
The installer must take all measures to protect against falls from a height in order to make a safe installation element in height.
2/ POSITION OF THE PIVOT ANCHOR:
Depending of the type of host structure, there are two different solutions for installing structural anchors.
3/ INSTALLATION OF THE PIVOT ANCHOR:
The installer must check the resistance of the structure and the fastening element in order to ensure the tear and shear strength at a
minimum of 12kN.
The choice of components varies according to the different structure. Dimensions in the UI are for information only as they correspond to
the manufacturer's data for this fastener.
3-1/ Transverse installation of the pivot anchor for any type of structure
A transverse installation on the structure will be by means of two M10 A4-70 screws, V chape, two M10 nuts, two M10 washers, in
stainless steel. Preferably, the nuts will be self-locking and / or two elastic or toothed washers. The choice of fastening element shall be
made according to the host structure and fastening manufacturer's data.
3-2/ Installation of the pivot anchor into the structural block
Such an installation of the pivot anchor should be done through two M10 high load proper screws, V chape. The installer should refer to
the manufacturer's instructions for similar fastening devices to obtain technical data and the proper installation description.
Checking of the installation before using the anchorage device
BE CAREFUL! Before using, it is necessary to perform a complete system check to ensure the safe use. To audit the following:
• All components attached to the fixed structure are properly positioned and oriented.
• All fasteners, such as screws, bolts, nuts are properly tightened. If in doubt, carry checking torque with a torque wrench.
ANY INSTALLATION MUST BE VALIDATED BY A DESIGN / STRUCTURAL ENGINEER OR AN APPROVED BODY.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Warning - Assembly of LV106
The pivot anchor can be properly used only when the user
assembles the three elements in right direction: keep the three
laser marking « ↑UP » up on the wall or in the same direction
if installed on the ceiling.

The pivot anchor can be installed in two positions:
1/ on the wall;
2/ on the ceiling
a. Drill two holes Ø 10mm in the structure. The
distance between two holes is 38mm.
b. Clear the hole of any dust and proceed with
corrosion protection if the material requires.
c. Put the pivot anchor, two M10 screws and two
washers in place, screw in the M10 nuts. The ideal
tightening torque should come from the fastening
manufacturer's instruction.
d. Drill two holes according to the actual structure. The
distance between two holes is 38mm.
e. Clear the hole of any dust.
f. Put the pivot anchor in place and tighten the screws.
