For the electrical connection of the monitor see . H 19.
u Connect the monitor connection cable as follows:
– Red cable to terminal block 15 (ignition).
– Black cable to terminal block 31 (earth –).
– Orange cable to the cable (plus +) of the reverse lamp.
– White cable to the cable (plus +) of the panel lamps.
u Turn on the ignition and press the POWER switch to STDBY
(see . I 1).
u Turn the camera switch to C 1 (see . I 2).
u Shift to reverse gear with the ignition on. The monitor will switch on
and the automatic camera protection cover should rise. A picture
appears on the monitor.
u Turn the MODE switch to DAY (the vehicle lights must be off to find
an optimum setting) (see . I 3).
u Set the picture to your needs using the two BRIGHT and
CONTRAST knobs (see . I 4).
u If you now set the MODE switch to NIGHT or turn on the vehicles
lights, the picture on the monitor must become slightly darker
(see . I 5).
u When the POWER switch is set to ON, the camera will start up even
when the vehicle is not in reverse gear (with the ignition turned on)
(see . I 6).
Attention: Prior to turning off the ignition of the vehicle, shift out
of reverese gear and/or set the POWER switch to STDBY, to
allow the automatic camera protection cover to lower.
The toggle switch for 'regular/inverted' monitor image is located on the
monitor rear. In the inverted presentation the monitor image appears as
if you look into the rear-view mirror of your vehicle (see . I 7).
Dip switch MIRROR in bottom position = inverted presentation
Dip switch MIRROR in top position = regular presentation
